OBC is only a 40 minute drive from Cairns International Airport.

You can hire a car at the Airport. All the major Agencies are there, but sometimes it is best to book before you undertake your trip as you may be able to negotiate a sharper rate. All the car hire agencies are very competitive and mostly under cut each other!

Or you can travel by luxury limousine or catch bus to Port Douglas and they will drop you off at Oak Beach.

The drive along the Captain Cook Highway is spectacular and is probably one of the most scenic drives in the world. You will drive past white sandy swimming beaches, as well as lush tropical vegetation.

Keep your eyes peeled for a discreet sign to Oak Beach. It is on the right hand side of the highway and is attached to a Gum Tree. …….we don’t like to let too many people know where Oak Beach is! The sign is opposite another sign marked ‘post number 273’.
